Tattoo Skin Art
Tattoos are popular in many parts of the world, owing much to custom and traditional use. Similar to piercing, tribal and religious tattoos can be found on many devout members of a faith, including crosses, ankhs, stars of David, and other religious iconography. Typically tattooing—sometimes referred to as “skin art” by those who are interested in it—is done at a tattoo parlor, by experienced artists. Usually a tattoo artist will have to apprentice under another, more skilled artist before they can work on their own. Women in particular have embraced the current popularity of tattoos, with many choosing to get tattoos across their lower back.
